I welcome all of
you with my love and respects.
I especially
welcome all the participants in Toronto-Kailasam, all the devotees, viewers,
visitors gathered in Toronto-Kailasam for the special Kalpataru Darshan, unique
Kalpataru Darshan, Kalpataru Utsava.
Wow! The hall is overflowing and
people are in the garbha mandir also!
Blessings to all of you!
Great! I think this is the first
time the temple is overflowing!
And, today, all
the Inner Awakening participants, you guys are going to enjoy the world’s
oldest recorded ritual – Ganga Arathi!
Please understand, see when the priest completes the ritual and signs
the document and receives his salary, that document is called “Maniyam” “Maniyam” is the name of the document. All Hindu temples boast their age, their
oldness, based on that “Maniyam” record.
And that record where the priest completes the ritual, signs and receives
his salary, that record is accepted as the evidence to recognize that temple’s
oldness and unbroken worship. So, in
Hindu Tradition, size of the temple is not important, but how many number of
years the worship has happened without breakage, without disturbance, that is
important.
So, please
understand, Sringeri Temple has a 1,200 years of unbroken record, Rameshwaram
Temple has a 7,000 years of unbroken record, and Ganga Arathi has an unbroken
record of 12,000 years! More than 1,000
Kumbha Melas, Ganga Arathi has record of!
It is an unbroken ritual! The
oldest ritual available to us, that record is Ganga Arathi. “Har ki Pauri”, means the “Feet of Shiva”,
where the Ganga comes to wash the feet of Shiva (In Haridwar, Ganga Arathi is
done at the place called “Har ki Pauri”).
So, you are going to enjoy that ritual today at exactly the same
spot.
Of course,
Vishwanath Temple (in Varanasi) has a long “Maniyam”, but broken in-between;
in-between it was broken. Unfortunately,
even Madurai Meenakshi Temple’s “Maniyam” is broken; it is not continuous. During the Muslim invasion it was broken; and
then the deity was smuggled into the Adheenam (Madurai Adheenam) and puja was
going on there; but, in the temple itself, the “Maniyam” is broken. Somehow, Rameshwaram, because it is an
island, an army cannot go to Rameshwaram; any army has to stop at Pamban; an
army cannot go to Rameshwaram; so Rameshwaram was saved!
So, today, you
guys are going to enjoy the Har ki Pauri Ganga Arathi, worship of Mother Ganga. It is recorded from the ancient time
immemorial. The oldest ritual I have
seen in any scripture recorded is Ganga Arathi only, Ganga Puja, Puja done to
Ganga, Ganga Arathi. It may be a very
simple ritual, I can say, maximum half-an-hour, half-an-hour only the whole
ritual is; but done without getting broken!
One advantage is..... See, a
temple ritual, for example, Meenakshi Temple ritual, if Madurai is captured by
an invading army, the ritual will be broken.
If Rameshwaram is captured, that ritual will be broken. But, Ganga, you cannot capture the whole
banks of the Ganga! One part you can
capture, but the other part will be free.
So, at some spot on the banks of the Ganga which is not captured, you
can go and do the arathi. So, that is
the way the ritual was kept alive. It
was an unbroken tradition. Because the
deity (the Ganges River) is too big, it cannot be captured by any army! How will you capture her from Gangotri to
Ganga Sagar? Even if you capture her in
Gangotri, they will be sitting in Tapovan and doing the arathi! Even if you capture, you cannot stop the
ritual from being done.
Today, again, I
wanted to expand on Kalpataru.
Listen! This is for the Inner
Awakening participants also! Please
listen!
There is a big
difference between every action you take with the idea of “impossibility” and
with the idea of “possibility”.
Understand? For example, from
Haridwar you are travelling to Delhi.
You are going by walk. Every step
you put with the idea you are never going to reach Delhi, with the idea ‘Who
knows whether this is the right road?
Who knows whether the weather will be alright? Who knows whether I will not get into an
accident and die?’, with all those doubts, the more number of steps you take,
the more and more you will be tired, sick, depressed! If you walk on the same road with the idea of
“possibility”, more and more you will be excited; when you see every
name-board, you will feel ‘Wow! We are
coming closer to Delhi, closer to Delhi!’; and the thought of what you are
going to achieve, enjoy, have in Delhi, that will inspire you and excite you
more and more!
Please
understand, don’t ever think like a so-called irrational rationalist. These irrational rationalists always give an
argument: ’What’s there? Whether I believe
or don’t believe, the same number of steps only I have to take to reach
Delhi.’ Understand, the number of steps
may be the same, but the effort will not be the same! When you walk with the idea of
“impossibility”, the number of steps may be the same, but the effort will be
more! If you walk with the idea of
“possibility”, the number of steps may be the same, but the effort will be
practically zero!
The more and
more action, the more and more the excitement, is the definition of
“Possibility”. The more and more action,
more and more excitement! The more and
more action, more and more tiredness and boredom, is the definition of
“Impossibility”.
One of my
disciples asked me, ‘Swamiji, what is it, every day morning exactly you get up,
run to breakfast, do your puja, and sincerely doing.....!’
Even I am
sometimes surprised! See, after the
realization of my incarnation-hood.....
See, from the age of three, I started puja. I first started with Ganapati Puja, with that
Ganesha deity I got. Then a few deities
added. But, from the age of three, I
remember me doing puja unbroken till the age of twenty-two. And, after twenty-two, no puja.....then just
being in Samadhi, that’s all. Again, the
day I took up the responsibility of Madurai Adheenam, from that day till now,
unbroken I am doing puja as a tradition.
I will sit and invoke my own presence and offer! I will sit with so much of joy and I will
feel exactly almost like my own hand put on myself! But it is such a joy!
So, one disciple
asked, ‘What is this Swamiji? You do
your puja and run to satsangh! Are you going
to do this your whole life? Forever?’
Please
understand, the moment he asked that, I know that the idea of “boredom” is a
pattern in him! Immediately, I told him,
‘First thing, understand, not only my whole life, EVEN AFTER I LEAVE THE BODY I AM GOING TO BE DOING THIS! I am going to be doing this forever as
Akshardhama! Forever and ever! From my Akshardham I will continuously be
available to you. You will see, all over
the world, in all my Samadhis, people will gather every morning, do Pada Puja,
and sit for satsangh, Upanishad with me!
When I am in the body, when my body is moving, when my vocal cord is
functioning, it is “Satsangh”, “Nithya Satsangh”. When it is not functioning, it is “Nithya
Upanishad”! That’s all! That is going to be my action whether I am in
the body or without the body!’ He could
not understand.....my disciple could not understand.
I wanted to tell
you, every one of you, if any action brings you tiredness and boredom, you
already have a belief of “impossibility”, the subtle “impossibility” is already
developed in you. I tell you, beauty in
the action is “Possibility”. We all know
how to beautify our body and skin. We
need to know how to beautify our actions.
When you are carrying “possibility” and acting, every action gives more
and more joy and excitement. You will
grow younger and younger! Your face will
become more graceful, more younger, and more beautiful! Very rarely I have seen people growing
younger. One person, without doubt I can
say, is Sathya Saibaba. He grew younger
and younger and younger. The more time
passed, he was becoming more graceful and more younger. Without any controversy or doubt I will tell
clearly, one person I have seen in my life growing younger and younger and
younger is Sathya Saibaba. I have
seen! Even Ram Surat Kumar also. Not only his face and the being, even the
lifestyle, everything! Bhagawan Ram
Surat Kumar, the more number of years, the more he became like a child, he was
growing younger!
I tell you, the
same Haridwar to Delhi if you walk with the idea of “impossibility”, with SDHD
(Self-Doubt, Hatred, Denial), you will not even cross Roorkee! Before that itself, in some Ganga canal you
may fall and die!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...! With SDHD, you
may not even cross Roorkee! If you walk
on the same road with the idea of “possibility”, without SDHD, every step will
give you excitement, and by the time you reach Delhi, you will have all the
excitement of Delhi and you will be excited to do more yatra, more walking!
When I started
on my Parivrajaka, I never thought that I will walk the length and breadth of
India, I will spend so much time in my Parivrajaka Yatra. The first few days of the yatra I carried the
idea of “possibility”, that’s all. The
concept of “possibility” gave me so much courage, so much joy, I never imagined
I will spend nine full years! God! See, a person who is more awake, for him one
day is equivalent to three days of a normal man.
See, even for
Inner Awakening, all Inner Awakening Graduates, understand, you guys didn’t go
through twenty-one days’ program; you guys went through sixty-three days’
program in twenty-one days! Because, the
number of hours..... See, morning 3
o’clock you get up. 4 o’clock you have
to be in Yoga; so 3 o’clock you have to get up and clean all the holes, and 4
o’clock you have to be here for Yoga. What time do you go to bed? 9 pm, or 10, or sometimes 11! In one day, regular day, average a man works
six to seven hours a day. But here? Come on!
See how many hours! And that also
all the emotional roller coasters, ups and downs, so much of cleansing! So, three days’ action you go through in one
day, understand? External cleaning,
internal cleaning, internal internal-cleaning!
So, I was this
kind of a person. Too many hours, too many waking hours was my lifestyle from
the beginning. So, I never imagined,
nine years – nine years in my lifestyle means 9 x 4 = 36 years; because for me
there is no other thing, no dreaming and sleeping state – I never thought so
many years I will spend in Parivrajaka Yatra!
Now, I remember, when walking around Haridwar – I have not spent years
in Haridwar; surely months only at different different times; but months only,
not years – but I feel as if I know the whole Haridwar! Because, I didn’t keep quiet; I will be
walking around, going everywhere, going to every temple, visit every ashram,
going to every place.....the active lifestyle!
I tell you, because that possibility gave me the excitement, only now
when I look back I am shocked that nine years I spent in Parivrajaka! Means, going from place to place, not staying
in one place. God!
Please
understand, take this one lesson, intranalyze this one truth: It may be same
number of steps, same distance, but the effort, result, everything will be
different if you carry “possibility” with you!
I tell you, when you travel with the “possibility” idea from Haridwar to
Delhi, with the idea of “possibility”, even if you have walked the same number
of steps, you will forget many times you walked or you struggled so much!
I tell you
honestly, when I describe, it looks like “struggle” to all of you, my
Parivrajaka time. Otherwise, it was
simply “Honey” and “Sun”. If I use the
word “honeymoon”, you will start imagining your own stories; so I don’t want to
use that word. HAHAHAHAHAHA...! It was just joy, excitement, a vacation with
Nature! That is the exact word I will
use: “Vacation with Nature”!
Travel in your
life also with the “possibility” in your heart.
You will see, one: every step does not tire you; it adds to more and
more excitement! See, when you walk with
“impossibility”, every step adds anxiety, not excitement. When you walk with “possibility”, every step
adds excitement, and when you reach the goal you won’t even feel tired that you
did so much, because when you were walking you didn’t feel tired. See, when you were walking if you didn’t feel
tired, after reaching you will not feel the tiredness memory. But, with the idea of “impossible” when you
are walking, you will feel tired; you will not reach; and if you reach, by the
time you reach you will feel ‘Oh, with so much difficulty.....’
I tell you, I
don’t feel at all I have struggled to do anything in my life. That is why, still, I don’t care about all
this opposition, abusal, illegal attacks; I am not at all bothered! Actually, these guys who are abusing,
spreading lies, spreading rumours, they should have a small trailer of my
inner-space, heart!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...! They should
get it, look into my inner-space. They
will really, they will really be upset!
Because they will be thinking I am giving too much of importance to them
in my inner-space, when they look there, when they find that they are not even
there, they will be really upset, because they expect that I should be afraid
of them, I should be frightened of them, or at least I should have a little
concern. This is too much! What to do?
I tell you one
thing, I tell all these guys who are abusing us, attacking us illegally,
immorally, and lying about us, spreading rumours, I want to tell to all of you,
please understand, don’t fight with a man who does not have vengeance! Understand, this is the secret of life! I don’t have any vengeance, I don’t have any
violence. My inner-space is full of
power. Don’t fight with a guy who does
not have vengeance. If you do, you will
fall and collapse and fail bitterly! See,
only a person with vengeance will become tired, will become bored, will feel he
is doing so much. A person without
vengeance will never feel he is doing so much.
I neither feel I am doing too much, nor I have any vengeance against
anybody, or I have anger. No,
nothing!
Understand, one
of the very important lessons in life: Don’t fight with a guy who does not have
vengeance; you will lose the game!
Always fight with a fellow who has vengeance; you will always win the
game! Please understand, the fellow with
vengeance, even if he is too big a guy, and you are too small a guy, you just
go in the space of non-vengeance, holding completion, you will just win! I am still working, I am trying to get some
of the Akashic records to find out how did a few Akhada sadhus fail in
war. I want to study that, because many
of our Akhada sadhus were established in Nidhidhyasana. Only after they are established in
Nidhidhyasana level, when the cosmic shift has happened, will they be sent to
war. A few wars they lost. How did they lose, I want to study.
I tell you, a
violence-free man can never be conquered.
It is a law of life! A
violence-free man can never be conquered.
My victory, be very clear, not just my victory, but the victory of
dharma, I am telling you, my victory over all these abusive elements,
anti-spiritual elements, anti-social elements, anti-humanity elements,
anti-national elements, proves this one truth: A non-violent person can never
be conquered. You will always lose if
you are violent with a non-violent person, because he is so powerful. I tell you, a non-violent person will be so
powerful inside, he will not have any wounds inside, and beautifully he will
handle the situation, and he knows what to do.
When you are filled with violence, you will not know what to do; you
will enter foolishly into a small ashram and break and beat that Swami there,
and get into trouble.
I tell you, that
is why, in our tradition, always before the war, a warrior has to do tapas, he
has to do tapas. Whether it is Arjuna or
Bhima, first they have to do tapas to become non-violent, powerful. Only then any war.
I tell you,
carry this space of “Possibility”; you will always win any wars. No one can win over you in any war, because
the space of “Possibility” excites you more and more, inspires you more and
more, brings rejoicing in you. You can
see in my life: Really, people thought,
‘How can Swamiji do twenty-one days’ program continuously?’ First year, we did one; second year, we did
two; third year, we did one, because of the abusal and attacks; the fourth
year, we did four; and fifth year, we did six; sixth year, we did eight; and
the seventh year, we are doing twelve!
Yes, 2008 – One; 2009 – Two; 2010, because of the attack and abusal –
One; 2011 – Four; 2012 – Six; 2013 – Eight; Now, in 2014 – Twelve! It will be just multiplying! By next year, I am training acharyas. I will do in one spot, acharyas will be going
around and doing in different places.
Understand,
carry the space of “Possibility”; every day action will only lead you to more
and more excitement. Every Inner
Awakening only excites me, not tires me.
I am only excited to spend more time with people, to be with
people. Every day Kalpataru only excites
me; it does not tire me. I tell you, in
your life, carrying the space of “Possibility” in your heart is
“Kalpataru”. So, meditate on this one
truth: Carrying the space of
“Possibility” in your heart is “Kalpataru”.
The essence of
today’s satsangh is this one line:
CARRYING THE SPACE OF “POSSIBILITY” IN YOUR HEART IS “KALPATARU”.
We will move to
the process of Kalpataru. Please sit
straight. Before moving into the process
of Kalpataru, one small video presentation about Inner Awakening. Commercial Break! HAHAHAHA!
VIDEO ON INNER
AWAKENING IS PLAYED.....................
Yes! Please sit straight. Close your eyes. Before closing your eyes, pen down one desire
you want to cause as reality, and all the obstacles you think, all the doubts
you carry about that desire. Please pen
down for a few minutes.
(After a few
minutes.......)
Sit with closed
eyes. Create a space for what you
wanted. Please listen. For example, if you want health, see already
the health has become your reality. If
you want wealth, see already the wealth has become your reality. Whatever doubts you have, complete with all
that. All the ideas of impossibility you
have, complete with all that and drop.
Sit holding this space of pure possibility. Sit straight, be in the space of possibility.
KALPATARU
MEDITATION IN PROGRESS.....................
Relax. I bless you all! Let the space you hold become reality! Be Blissful!
So, first we
will have darshan for all the Kalpataru participants who are here in Haridwar;
then Toronto.
So, I bless you
all! Let you all radiate with Integrity,
Authenticity, Responsibility and Enriching with eternal bliss,
Nithyananda! Thank you!
